In the Transformers: Prime series, he can form bladed weapons or blasters from his hands. He has telescopic vision and turns into a long-nose semi-trailer truck. Before the Great War, Optimus Prime was originally known as Orion Pax; a young data clerk who worked in Iacon, under the wing of Alpha Trion. Orion was chosen by the High Council and became "Optimus Prime," upon being entrusted with the Matrix of Leadership by Primus himself. Years of war against his old friend/rival, Megatron, have brought Optimus and his team to Earth. After Optimus and his team first met humans on Earth, they allied with them. During their fight against the Decepticons on the planet, Optimus and the other Autobots were subject to many disadvantages, managing to pull through every time in their various mission to stop Megatron's exploitations of Earth's vast Energon resources. When Unicorn threaten Earth, Optimus Prime had no choice but to surrendered the Matrix of Leadership in order to stop Unicorn. Due to loss of the Matrix of Leadership Optimus not only lost the collective wisdom of the Primes he also lost his memory, reverted to Orion Pax. Optimus left with Megatron, who was the first to notice about Optimus amnesia as they had a truce in attempt to stop Unicorn at the time, due to remembering him as a friend when Soundwave opened a GroundBridge to the Decepticons war ship. Megatron took advantage of Optimus amnesia as he was brought aboard Megatron war ship and was told false info about the Decepticon and the Autobots. Orion Pax, Optimus Prime, was put to work on Project Iacon, finding old relics from Cybertron, as Megatron was able to get Autobot codes on their coordinates which turned out that all the relics were hidden on Earth. Orion Pax was able to decode some entireties then became curious about Starscream whereabouts but Megatron told him a false lie about where he is. Orion Pax sees Starscream with energon cubes, as he snuck aboard the war ship to get some, as he calls him Optimus Prime which confused him as to why he called him that but he does begin to question everything Megatron told him, after Starscream left the war ship. Wondering about who Optimus Prime is, Orion Pax hacked the Decepticon files which were hard to hack but was able to break through them then became stunned to see that he is Optimus Prime when he broke through. Orions hacking didn't go unnoticed by Megatron, who knew he would find out the truth sooner or later. Megatron forced Orion to finish Project Iacon, as he would't cooperate with them now due to knowing the truth. Orion escapes the war ship to confront Megatron as he made it clear that he may not be a Prime but he knew the right side to be on. Thanks to his human friend Jack, Optimus was able to get his memory back but he could't remember anything that happened during his time on the war ship but Ratchet assure him that deep down within his spark he knew he was an Autobot and could't hide his true self weather he was Orion or Optimus. Despite having his memory back along with being aware of what happened when he surrendered the Matrix of Leadership, Optimus still didn’t remember how much info he supplied to Megatron when he had amnesia. Following a near death experience and an upgrade by the Forge of Solus Prime, he gains a jetpack, a larger size, and an all-terrain expeditionary fighting vehicle for an alternate mode. During this time he is shown to be capable of flight and seems to have increased his strength as he is seen taking down a whole group of Insecticons easily. After restoring Cybertron to life at the end of the third season, the series' finale movie, Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising, saw his recovery of the AllSpark and subsequent sacrifice to save it from Unicron and return it to Cybertron's core.
I suspect that part of the problem with people’s perception of price is also due to changes in tastes as they grow up. A small child will be pleased with relatively small sets, since their lego collection and experience is likely to be almost non-existent. But as they get older, they will tire of the small sets and want ever bigger sets. For adults, most of the fun is in building rather than playing, meaning that size is everything. This means that over their lifetime, the price an individual person (or their parent) pays for lego sets does go up–because the composition of their purchases changes–even though the prices of lego sets over time does not.
Optimus Prime is the Autobot leader on Transtech Cybertron. On Transtech Cybertron, Optimus Prime is a gifted politician who has forged an alliance with Megatron, the militaristic leader of the Decepticons. together, they helped bring forth a golden age on Cybertron. Transtech Cybertron is unique among Cybertrons of alternate universes in that war has not broken out between factions.[171]
The Hasbro release comes with a pack-in file card. In addition to the regular version, Optimus was also released in a special "advance release" assortment alongside Bulkhead, Megatron and Starscream, with each figure including a mini-DVD that contains the Transformers: Prime episode "Masters & Students". Yes, all four of them come with the same episode.
Kiss Players Convoy is a redeco of Alternators Optimus Prime. Unlike the Alternators version's bare red plastic, he is covered in a deeper red paint. Some of his body parts are cast in different colours, such as his shins, and has a much more intricate paint deco based upon Masterpiece Convoy. He is armed with his small engine pistol and a pink surfboard that can be reconfigured into either two small blades or a large double-bladed sword.
Being a brand new and intricate remake of the Autobot leader, MP-10 was used as the gold standard in terms of scale for future Masterpiece figures, with all the upcoming releases being sized to best match him. Much like his older incarnation, he was also cherished by collectors, generating heated debates on which version is the best one up to this day.[5]

The main build of the set is a massive vehicle based on Optimus's truck cab, capable of seating a single Kreon in the driver's seat. Pushing the trailer-hitch on the back end towards the cab opens up the front grill, revealing a huge spring-loaded rocket launcher with rubber-tipped projectile. The cab can also stow the included stasis pod ussed to lock away the baddies.

Similar to the Activators toyline, One-Step Changer Optimus Prime features a spring-loaded transformation. He features swivel articulation in the head and both arms. He shares a similar (not identical) transformation with his fellow One-Step changer, Hound. Also, due to his transformation scheme, his shoulders can be pushed forward (the arms is pushed on the same time), which also allows him to wield a close ranged weapons with longer handles with both hands.
The other new additions were two black spring-loaded missile launchers that fire red projectiles. In vehicle mode, these attached to the soundbox (an echo of Powermaster Optimus Prime's cannons, perhaps), and could be held in Optimus Prime's fists in robot mode. These launchers were not created for Prime; they were retooled versions of the launcher from Barricade of the G.I. Joe line.

The Joes discovered a cavern where the people of Cobra-La were growing metal-eating spores as a last defense against Unicron. Flint and Cosmos took a load of the spores into space just as Unicron appeared in Earth orbit. Prime, Hawk and Colton headed deeper into Cobra-La to rescue Firewall and kick butt. Prime was tackled and pinned by a giant bug creature, but made a dramatic recovery and tossed the bug aside. He then took the machine-hating Cobra-La leader Golobulus to task with a single punch. Flint and Cosmos released the spores, which devoured Unicron from the inside and defeated the giant Transformer before he could harm Earth.

Optimus Prime features a MechTech Blaster that can convert into an Energon Battle Axe reminiscent of the Generation 1 character's iconic weapon, though the weapon cannot be locked in battle axe mode. There is also a pair of C joint rods on the underside of both forearms. His MechTech blaster can plug into the port on each of his arms or be held in either hand in robot mode, or plug into one of two holes on his truck roof/robot shoulders.
Released exclusively in Japan, Bumblebee Legendary Optimus Prime is an all-new Leader Class mold, taking many cues from the Age of Extinction Evasion Mode Optimus Prime mold. His head can also switch into either maskless or masked faces. He also comes with an Ion Blaster, which can be pegged on his 5mm compatible hands and can store on his back. His truck mode can tow Convoy's (MP-10) trailer.

An exclusive to Amazon.co.jp, this redeco of Optimus Prime is bundled with the Japanese release of the Revenge of the Fallen DVD. He is another in a long line of black repaints, swapping most of his red and blue plastic for black, some of his bright grey plastic for a cool grey and blue, and is covered with gold and silver flames. His orange blades are now translucent blue.

The TakaraTomy "Autobot Alliance" release of this toy has some significant differences, including casting the red plastic in a darker shade, making his shin and wheel joints grey rather than Hasbro's bronze, painting the Matrix of Leadership silver, and swapping out the dual energon swords for battle hooks, similar to 2010's Leader class Optimus Prime. However, due to the Japanese release retaining the Hasbro packaging, the box still advertises the dual energon swords rather than the hooks. He retains the masked face used for the Hasbro release.
